Core Tools for Augmented Reality

Finally.
I am not the only one who had the idea of image recognization.

Core Tools for Augmented Reality is Microsoft Research stuff, where, essentially, you take a picture and get info back about what's in the picture. Like, if you take a picture of a restaurant, you are given the menu.

I can not wait for Google to get a hold of this stuff.
I've always wanted (Well, maybe not always) to be able to upload a picture and hit the search button.
And you know Google Images?
That's what you would get back.
You'd be given links to the same picture in different sizes and qualities.
You can find out the place, person, species, where to find and buy it, whatever.
You can find the origin of the picture if it's on like Flickr or DeviantArt, to credit the creator or find their other pictures.
You can find different angles or pictures that are similar to the one you uploaded.

The possibilities are endless.

I Cannot Believe

He has a girlfriend.
Damnit.
I can't believe I've already looked at his profile, too... like... a year ago or something.
I can't believe he doesn't drink or smoke.
I also can't believe that he's a Virgo, too!

He plays bass, guitar, and drums.
He does back-up vocals and bass for Comic Mischief.

He writes. Really creative, thoughtful poetry.
Obviously smart. Great vocabulary....

In a way I regret reading his profile and blogs... because... it makes me want him more.
And I know I will never have him.

Suddenly... I feel like I'll never have anyone.

Dragonball, Anyone?

Yesterday, Friday, I went with THIRTEEN other people to see Dragonball: Evolution.

Me, Caitlin, Cassy, Nathan, Logan, Mike, Sarah, Donut, Matt, Nick, Kadie, Pat, Keifer, and Bryan (with his hair all spiked).

The movie was better than I expected.... But I had almost non-existent expectations. I knew it was going to be bad, and I KNEW it wasn't going to be comparable to the anime/manga. There's just so much stuff (like the fighting) that is far better shown through drawings. Live action just makes it look incredibly non-believable. Impossible. They keep defying the laws of physics which don't exist in the cartoon world.

I found it humorous that Justin Chatwin, who played Goku, was the only caucasian in the movie. Did you ever notice that "Caucasian" has "asian" in it? Weird.

Randomness Is Sacred

I am going to bust the hell out of the random quotes at the top.
Seriously, man. I am going to have some serious FUN.

This week has gone by really fast, maybe because I've hardly been home. Monday, after school, we went to the park for a bit. It was really nice outside. Tuesday, I rode the bus home. Wednesday was a half day, and afterwards, we watched Yes Man and painted eggs. Thursday, today, I was calling a woman for Sensei for the Japanese Festival when the bell rang. It took a while to get things done with, and when I was done, the buses were long gone. So I walked with Steph to her house (I feel soooooo bad for making her miss the bus), and hung there until 5:30.

And tomorrow, there is a high likelyhood that I will go with a group of people from Japanese class to see Dragonball: Evolution after school.

Next week is going to feel so dull.... wait... do we have WASLs next week? If so... AWESOME.

Almost Like It Never Happened

He looks so much like Nate Barcalow, it is fucking ridiculous. Especially when he doesn't have his sweatshirt on.
But he's pale. He's a pale version of Nate and I fuckin' LOVE it.

I just have to ignore my desires. Until he's single again.
No doubt in my mind he won't want me, though, when that time comes.
They really don't talk together anymore. Er, today.

It is so HOT outside. At least 77, man. Fuck. On April Fools' Day, it was SNOWING!! No joke!
Seriously, man. Not joking here.
Such temperature changes just don't exist here. Er, SHOULDN'T.

I need to get my license.
I need to take the SATs.
I need to do a lot of stuff. I feel a bit better when people like Caitlin are doing even less than me. But then I feel bad using them as leverage to feel better about myself.
I don't really accomplish much there, do I?

I've been thinking about putting tags on all my past entries as well as the ones I'll later churn out. So it'd be easier for me to reminisce about good times, you know?

I think I'll do it. I just need to get around to it all. And I'd have to read all those entries to find out what stands out. What needs to be tagged. Some may have creative names. I'm not exactly sure what they'll be...

....I keep forgetting and still can't believe I told Michelle and Steph that I like Donut.
It gives me this really weird feeling. Not exactly sure what it is, man. =/

I'm tagging my photos on Photobucket. Taking forever but hopefully it'll be worth it. Now I know why there are tags on Photobucket. I wish it would just automatically do the entire picture and not have to pick out a specific spot. It's not that important. However, tags like that I understand on Myspace, and people on Flickr REALLY use them well.... to point out an exact spot they like or dislike on a pic.
