Not you. Er... I hope not.
I don't know why I even BOTHER reading comments on YouTube, anymore. Especially on political or environment or any other issue. Most of the people that comment on those are complete jackasses... you know?
Sorry if I go on a rant, but I have to say a few things:
YES, turning off the lights for an hour won't do much about the environment.
It IS possible to live without the lights on for an hour. Just the lights, people. They never said anything else.
Earth Hour is about making a difference TOGETHER. It's doing something together. Making an impact. Increasing awareness and the need to do something. It shows that we WANT to help. It shows that we can live with less electricity... because... well, face it... we CAN.
People just get so selfish because they think they don't impact it much at all, and that there aren't restrictions and shit like that. Okay, not that shitty. But, I mean... would it KILL you to turn off the tv when you're done with it? Turn off the lights when you leave the room? Throw that paper in the recycling instead of the garbage (a lot of the jerky popular kids throw away recyclable things... drives me nuts)
I just hate how some people are so fucking wasteful. And when others do the same thing... it really adds up to something that could've really been helpful.
...It's like the pennies you find around the ground. Just... laying there uselessly, because many people don't find it valuable. But... it adds up. Pick up those coins and put them in those donation boxes, dammit. Or get a jar and fill it with pennies and other coins you randomly find.
Alright.... I think I'll shut up now. Sorry if I offended anyone. I hate hate.... That totally contradicted itself, didn't it. Ha. Well, I mean... I hate how there's so much hate in the world. It makes me feel... really disappointed in humans, you know? We have all these skills and choices, and I feel like so many people take it all for granted and throw it out the window. They want to live their life how they want to. I'm not saying that's bad, or anything... just... why do people have to be so damn selfish?
And a side note... something I don't understand.... If there are so many religious people in the world... why is there so much hate? Isn't religion supposed to... better yourself... and the world?
When I think about this stuff, I realize that I don't understand ANYTHING. Especially if so much in our world is rooted off of religions and stuff.... Interesting how they get corrupted, but no one really tries to do much... because it's a RELIGION. A sacred thing.... like authoritative figures. I mean, they're supposed to be "good," but when you suspect they've done something bad... there's so much more you have to prove to take them down then say... a peasant.
Do you get what I mean? Not the best... example or whatever, but... yeah...
